Eighth (8th) Anniversary of my Blog

So, last July was the 8th anniversary of my blog. Unfortunately, end of July of this year was the height of Operation Protective Edge. Therefore, I did not get a chance to write anything about the anniversary of my blog. From last year to now, a lot has changed in my life. From July 2006 until now, my entire world has changed.
To give you a quick update, I am still working as a tax attorney. I am still spending average of 14 to 15 hours per day on my work. There is nothing much to my life except the crazy work hours. Many ask me why or how could I work so hard. The answer to this question is very vague. To be honest, I find my profession quite exciting. Yes, people work for an income to fund their preferable life style. However, I can bravely claim that I work because I enjoy my profession. The income is the reward for the hard work.
I started my own law firm last year. The current firm that I work for actually found out about my own firm and yet they decided to keep me here. Under my own firm, I am doing a lot of different things. I have started to focus on many other areas of law such as Estate Planning and Wealth protection. I also went to New York this year. Believe it or not, when it comes to fun part of my life, these are the only two updates I have for the last year. I have done some small local traveling too. However, majority of the year was all about work.
With regards to my blog, I have found it very helpful to share things that I find interesting on the web. Quite frankly, majority of my readings are on political aspect of global advancement. At the same time, this new barbaric phenomenon is also another item that is taking majority of my free time. Islamic State (IS-or formerly known as ISIS) is a huge movement and we are basically witnessing only the infant stages of it yet. There are a lot to be said about them. Besides IS, majority of my readings are about Taxation and legal world and they are not really worth sharing on this blog.
For the next year, I am hoping to share a lot more on IS and their agenda. As I said previously, there are a lot to be said about them. This state will portray the true and pure face of Islam without any sort of distortion by its supporters. It will show the globe what the true Wahhabi and Salafi Islam is about and how it was practice by Prophet Mohamed. Of course, there are others who will try to mask this movement as something else by justifying its barbaric nature and making it Israel or America’s fault; however, I am a firm believer that our Muslim friends in Europe will simply uphold this group as one of their own by giving them their full support. We will see huge support from around the world for this group. IS will be the next hot and popular topic on this blog for the next year to come.

Paris Hilton Opens a Store in MECCA?!!

Recently, I have checked-out mentally when it comes to politics. There a lot of items to cover with regards to Gaza operation. At the same time, there was the issue with the elections. On top of that, there were a lot of items to cover with regards to Media treatment of the Gaza operation. Iron Dome was a big success for Israel and Hamas has declared victory. I have no clue what they are victorious about after Eight days of fighting. However, I have no energy to tackle any of those issues. Life has become very complicated and work is becoming too exhausting to leave any energy to write anything. I lost one of my best assistances due to brain aneurism. Thank G-d she is OK, but it will be a long time until she could return to work. Therefore, I am swamped at work.

As I said, life has become very complicated. In the mist of all these, I am looking for a light at the end of the tunnel. So, I found this news item that made me laugh. Paris Hilton, the ditsy girl with a home-made porn has opened a store in Mecca. It has caused an outrage among our Muslim brothers. Frankly, as hilarious as it is, I do not blame them. Mecca is considered the holiest city according to Islamic teaching. Could you imagine, this young lady with this promiscuous past, has a business establishment in this town that is named after her? It is hard to comprehend for some people, but it is totally understandable. The fact that this young lady is even popular is contingent on the home-made porn who sky rocketed her popularity. Of course there are the occasional wardrobe maul-functions that have assisted her. Altogether, it must be very hard for Muslims to accept the fact that there is a store in Mecca called “Paris Hilton”.

Although I understand their outrage, I must also criticize it too. Muslims around the globe are too quick to be outraged when it comes to their religions. However, when it comes to their brothers’ lives, if it is not done by non-Muslims, they could care less how many Muslims die. Perfect example of it is what is going on in Syria. Over 40,000 people are dead. Where is their outrage? These people should channel these “outrages” to causes that benefit and advance their culture as oppose to only limiting it to Islam as a religion. For the time being, I thought this was hilarious.

Fifth Anniversary of my Blog-Wow!

Although this is might be a month overdue, but last month was the fifth year anniversary of my blog. I cannot believe that five years have passed since I started this blog. I started this blog when the Lebanon War of 2006 started. This was my way of expressing my opinion about what was happening. I am looking at some of the posts I put up and it feels like I am rewinding my life and history at the same time. It’s been HALF A DECADE since I started this blog. It is still unbelievable. I started this blog with the same picture and I must admit it is truly an amazing picture. Well, here is a small little update with regards to what has happened to my life since I started this blog.
Throughout these five years, my life went through tremendous changes. I made a lot of friends and a lot of enemies because of this blog. Of course the content of this blog caused some sudden discomfort to terrorist-apologists up in Berkeley and Leftist numb-nuts who were truly sick in the head. When I say sick in the head, I mean sick. They resorted to all sorts of sick and psychotic acts that ranged from prank-calling and at one point death threats. Of course, the main perpetrator was finally identified last year and the coward quickly disappeared. Of course, these cowards would disappear the second they are identified because they are as I like to call them “chicken bullies”. That means they are the type of bullies who are bullies online and in hiding and they would never show their face due to the fact that they know they are the scum of the society themselves. However, like I said, as soon as the main perpetrator was identified, I never heard from any of them EVER AGAIN! So much for protectors of justice and humanity as they claimed to be!!
During the past five years, I started and finished law school in San Diego. I moved to back to Los Angeles and I took the California Bar Exam for the first time and I failed with only four points missing. That was truly a hard thing to go through. Then I went through the appeal process. The appeal process was unsuccessful and I decided to retake the bar exam one more time even though I had a good job in Marketing. Of course, this time I passed and at the time I was working at a Civil Litigation Law Firm in Los Angeles. However, I really did not enjoy working at the firm and I quickly started searching for a better job with much better pay. That’s where I found my current employer which is a Tax Firm. In law school, I hated Tax. I never understood it and I thought it was the most boring area of law. However, due to our current economy and the lucrative salary, I decided to take this job.
I quickly realized that Tax is truly the best field because I was good with numbers. I busted my behind for three months. I worked 15-16 hours a day. I even worked on Sundays and I did not take a single day off. Even when I was sick I showed up to work. All the hard work quickly paid off because I was able to advance in the company in the fastest paste possible. Within only four months, I was promoted to supervising attorney. I also ranked fourth best attorney in the firm. I became the “go-to-guy” who got all the hard complicated cases or high profile clients. I have about 140 cases for myself and supervising over 600 cases. I have the highest case load and the biggest team and I have been here for only eight months. Although the working hours did not improve and it actually got worse, but the salary definitely improved.
Besides the respect, quick advancement, and of course great salary, this job provided me with an opportunity to help a lot of people. Our clients range from all aspects of the society and listening to their story truly teaches you a lot about life. The satisfaction of helping people is really priceless. When you assist a client and provide them with successful results, you could hear their voice and how appreciative they are, and there are no words that could express my feelings at that moment. I had a client breaking down and cry when I gave her the good news. That in itself is worth all the hard work you put in to resolve the cases.
Besides the career changes and moving, my life took a lot of interesting turns. I would be lying if I say at times I did not think about quitting. However, constant hard work and putting in many hours pays off at the end and this is what exactly happened to my life. Although being happy could be a very vague terms to use because there are many different kind of happiness, look at the past five years, I could confirm that I am very happy with my life.
Well, five years has passed since I started this blog and I have covered many news article and world events and wrote my opinion about them. We are living in a very volatile time. I must say, I have zero intention of quitting this blog. So, stay tuned for hopefully many more years to come.
